Listen to Your Skin...

          Hi how are you??
                        I m fine. & U??...

This is a common conversation between two people. But is it really true? Is this seen in ur skin too??? r u fine in all the aspects..
Answer we all know. rt??

So we all in this hectic world are lil stressed..
Stress isn’t just an annoying byproduct of everyday life: It's also a major health and beauty saboteur. A lack of sleep, dehydration, and junk food cravings often go hand-in-hand with stress, which trickles down to poor hair and skin health.
You’d be surprised to know that stress could actually be the root of these issues.
Some accept it & some dn’t accept it. But truth is we all experience stress tension worry anxieties at diff diff levels...
So its quite normal u cnt escape frm it. But when u have to consider it seriously & actually start doing relaxation techniques for ur STRESS...
See Body passes through many kinds of Stress
- it can be Physical / Mental / Emotional...

By Physical Stress I dnt mean doing Exercises & gymming & all work outs Nope..  (On the contrary its helpful for health n coming out of stress. :)

I mean by Physical changes happening in body like
Menstruation,
Puberty,
Pregnancy,
Menopause etc. o
Chronic Major Illness or
any severe physical injury & trauma on body or
any Surgical Operations all put stress on body.
Stress of coping with that change, stress of recovering all functions aftr these all, Body has to do lil hard work to coming back into normal functions. So its a stressful pulled out situation for body.

During these periods skin & hair menifests some chnages for temporary period of time. If don’t took care propery then permanent damage to them wil happen.

And we already know abt effects of Mental & Emotional stress on Health.
But we dn’t knw that first effect of this stress will be on Skin & Hair.

U can say its “ Body’s way of communicating to u that it needs ur help & support to cope up these stresses.”

So u get alert signs & work on that direction so that further deep effects on ur major organs can be Prevented.
So Nature is helping us to prevent major diseases caused due to long term stress.
This point to be noted. This is the right way of thinking towards ur skin & hair probems. And before any thought about stress just rule out most common cause - Mal Nutrition esp in Females & children.

Hair Diseases :
Hair Loss - Telogen Effluvium
Alopecia Areata
Premature Graying of hair
Seborrheic Dermatitis
Folliculitis etc.

Scientific Reasons behind them -

Hair Fall Due to stress, our blood vessels get constricted and the hair follicles are unable to get the required quantity of oxygen and other nutrients, which are necessary for hair growth. Due to this it leads to hair loss for people who are stressed.

Alopecia Areata - Alopecia Areata is thought to be an autoimmune disease. where the immune system attacks the hair follicles. This condition usually results in bald patches on the scalp, and can affect men, women and children.
-when person is going through deep mental & emotional worries. then immunity gets compromised. & this auto immune disorder takes place. Some genetical factors also plays role.

Premature Graying of Hair - Two main factors play role in this. first is Deficiency of some Nutrients & second is Stress. Need to take care of both ailments together.

Acne : Since our skin and mind are deeply connected; In response to stress Body produces more Androgen Hormones. that lead to more oil production in the skin and leads to acne breakouts.

Urticaria : Stress can trigger more Histamines which leads to Itchy skin, Flushing & Rashes.

Dry & Dull Skin:  The negative effects of stress can present themselves on the skin with extreme dehydration that results in inflammation, hyperpigmentation, dullness. When you’re stressed, the dead cell layer on the surface of the skin becomes thin and develops microscopic holes, which aren’t able to provide a sufficient defense against aging ultraviolet rays. Not only can stress cause breakouts, but it also creates tiny perforations in cell membranes that allow water to leak from cells and dehydrate the skin. That’s when fine lines and a lackluster skin tone begin to appear.

Ageing : It is easy to identify people who are stressed because the signs of ageing such as wrinkles and dark circles start to show on their face much earlier than they should.!!
